So I'm schedule to run the Annapolis 10k this weekend, and to say the least I'm soooo ready. If you've checked out my blog before, you may recall a few posts about me being in a "run funk." Somewhere between becoming a Half Fanatic and life, I out ran/raced my love for running. It's been nearly two months since I've hit the pavement, and while I have remained physically active, the idea of running 6.2 miles probably isn't a bright one.
A part of me wants to run it, just for the hectic of it. I'm sort of hoping this will get me motivated to running regularly again, but in the back of my mind I just don't want to do it. If it were a different course, that probably would help me make a decision, but having ran my first half marathon on this route I know it is challenging with steady hills. So what is a girl to do? One thing for sure is I better decide pretty quickly.
Been in a similar situation? How did you overcome your run funk? Any advice on racing without any training? Please feel free to share your personal experiences.
XOXO,
LaToya
